Benita Dirikis on the campaign trail with our PPC Alex Williams
My name is Benita and I am delighted to be your Conservative Candidate for Stretford Ward in the Trafford Council elections.
I have been a resident of Stretford for most of my life. I went to school in the ward, at Victoria Park infants & Juniors. I am an “old girl” of Stretford Girls Grammar School and I went on to gain a Business Studies qualification from Manchester Polytechnic.
I have been a working, single mother for several years and my daughter is now at University. My job is in commercial contracts management for a multi-national engineering company.
My parents, sisters and their families all live in Stretford. I have nieces and nephews of school age and I appreciate the good education and special needs services provided by Trafford. My parents are of an age where they are experiencing the excellence of our NHS service in Trafford and Manchester plus help from social care services.
I have some council experience, having served on Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council 1984 – 1987 and would like to return to local politics to serve Stretford Ward as your Conservative Councillor. I believe that, by careful financial management, the Conservative controlled Trafford Council provides the best possible service for the lowest council tax in Greater Manchester. There is always room for improvement, for “better” and “more” and I would like to be the voice for Stretford Ward on the Conservative team that is striving to do this for all the residents of Trafford.
Yours sincerely,
Benita M Dirikis
